Pest Control Spraying Services Brisbane
Targeted insecticide spraying across internal, external perimeter, roof void, and subfloor zones using calibrated equipment and APVMA-registered products. Synthetic pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, or eco-friendly pyrethrin depending on pest and preference. Residential from $180.
Spray Products We Use
The product used depends on the target pest, the treatment zone, and client preference. All products are APVMA-registered for use in Australia and are applied at the label rate using calibrated equipment.
Synthetic Pyrethroids
The most widely used class of insecticide for residential pest control. Derived synthetically from the natural pyrethrin molecule but engineered for longer residual activity. Products include Bifenthrin (Biflex), Permethrin, and Deltamethrin. Highly effective against cockroaches, ants, spiders, and silverfish with 3-6 month residual on internal surfaces.
Neonicotinoids
A newer class of systemic insecticide used for pests that have developed resistance to pyrethroids. Imidacloprid and Acetamiprid are the most common formulations used in pest control. Particularly effective for German cockroach infestations where pyrethroid resistance is established, and as a complement to gel bait programs in commercial kitchens.
Pyrethrin (Natural)
The natural plant-derived equivalent of synthetic pyrethroids, extracted from chrysanthemum flowers. Used when clients request an eco-friendly option. Provides fast knockdown but shorter residual than synthetic alternatives. Suitable for general household pest situations where frequent retreatment is not a concern. Same pricing as synthetic options. See our eco-friendly page.
Insect Growth Regulators (IGRs)
IGRs do not kill adult insects directly. They disrupt the development of immature insects, preventing juveniles from reaching reproductive maturity. Used alongside spray treatments to break the breeding cycle and prevent reinfestation. Hydroprene and Pyriproxyfen are the most common IGR actives used in Australian pest control.
Where We Spray
A standard treatment covers all zones relevant to the property type and pest situation. Not all zones are included in every job. The technician will advise which zones are being treated and why before starting.
Internal Surfaces
Skirting boards, wall-floor junctions, cupboard bases, under appliances, wet area junctions, and entry points from ceiling space. The primary harborage zone for cockroaches and ants.
External Perimeter
All external walls to 1 metre height, window frames, door frames, weep holes, and service penetrations. Targets ants and spiders entering from outside and creates a barrier against reinfestation.
Roof Void
Roof void spray targets German cockroaches, spiders, and silverfish nesting in insulation, joists, and roof framing. Roof void treatment is not included in every standard treatment and is quoted separately for houses where access is confirmed.
Subfloor
Subfloor spray targets spiders, cockroaches, and silverfish under timber-floor homes. Also used as part of termite barrier reapplication programs. Subfloor access is confirmed before quoting. Separate pricing applies.
Garden Perimeter
Ant nest treatment in garden beds adjacent to the structure, and external perimeter spray extended to garden paths and paved areas where ants are entering. Applied away from flowering plants and bee-active areas.
Commercial Areas
Back-of-house, storage, plant rooms, loading docks, and refuse areas on commercial properties. Higher-pressure spray equipment used for large area coverage. HACCP-compliant documentation issued.
Equipment and Calibration
Correct spray equipment and calibration are as important as product selection. An uncalibrated sprayer applying product at the wrong rate wastes product, reduces effectiveness, and may not comply with the APVMA label. All equipment is calibrated before use. See our equipment calibration page.
Backpack and Hand-Held Sprayers
Used for internal surface spray and external perimeter. Birchmeier and B&G units calibrated to deliver a consistent fine spray pattern at controlled pressure. Output confirmed before every treatment run.
ULV Cold Foggers
Used for roof void and subfloor treatments where fine mist penetration is required. Vectorfog units producing 5-50 micron droplets for even distribution across roof timbers and sub-floor joists.
Motorised Drum Sprayers
Used for large-area commercial treatments and external perimeter runs on larger properties. 20-litre motorised units with boom lance delivering high-volume application at consistent pressure across large surfaces.
Calibration Before Every Job
Every sprayer used on a treatment is calibrated before leaving the depot. Calibration confirms the output rate matches the APVMA label rate for the product being used. An uncalibrated sprayer is not just less effective: applying product above label rate is an offence under the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code.
Safe Re-Entry Times After Spraying
Re-entry time depends on the zone treated and the specific product used. The technician confirms the re-entry time for your specific treatment before leaving. The times below are standard guidelines for the products we most commonly use.
When Spraying Is the Right Method
Spraying is the right choice for most Brisbane residential and commercial pest situations, but it is not always the only method and sometimes not the best. Here is how spray compares to other approaches.
